“My Series of Sexual Assault-Abuse”

This series addresses the traumatic and pervasive issue of sexual assault and abuse, which encompasses unwanted sexual behavior, the use of force by offenders, threats, and the exploitation of victims who have not given their consent. Often, the perpetrators and victims are acquainted, making the abuse even more complex and painful. The immediate reactions to such abuse typically include shock, anxiety, and anger, while long-term effects can manifest as depression, panic attacks, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

While efforts to treat sex offenders remain stringent and controversial, there has been progress in providing therapeutic support for victims, especially through group counseling, which has proven to be effective in some cases.

The purpose of this work is to offer a voice and support to the countless innocent victims who have been silenced by fear and shame, unable to speak out due to the fear of judgment. Through this series, I aim to encourage individuals to rise against such acts of cruelty and to empower survivors to break their silence, reclaim their rights, and seek justice.
