Speak Up
Project Duration:
Spring 2018
“My series of sexual assault- abuse” relates to unwanted sexual behavior, using force by offenders, making threats, or taking advantage of witnesses who have not given their consent. Many victims and perpetrators are acquainted with each other. Shock, anxiety, or anger are immediate reactions to sexual abuse. Long-term signs include depression, panic, or post-traumatic stress disorder. Although attempts to treat sex offenders remain uncompromising, there seem to be successful therapeutic treatments for victims — particularly group counseling.
The purpose of this work is to support all of those innocent victims of sexual abuse who have been scared and could not speak up because of the fear of judgment. And I want to reinforce people to raise up against this kind of cruelty and to encourage all the victims who are abused to break the silence and take their rights.
