Mahya Davachi
I am a Graphic Designer, Visual Communication Artist, UX Designer, and Illustrator with over twelve years of experience in design, branding, advertising, poster design, catalogue and brochure design, packaging, social media, and photography. Throughout my career, I have developed a strong expertise in creating illustrations, designing posters, billboards, logos, and catalogs for various magazines, companies, and events. My work has been featured and awarded at both national and international festivals and exhibitions.
In 2017, I had the privilege of moving to the United States to pursue my MFA in Visual Communication Design. As a motivated student, I have taken full advantage of the opportunities offered by my university community. My projects have been selected for prestigious events, including the National Student Show in Dallas, Texas, and HINDSIGHT at the 6th annual Persian Art Exhibition at the Irving Art Association in Texas. Additionally, my work has been exhibited in the United States, Turkey, and Iran, earning multiple awards.
During my time at the University of Texas at Arlington, I contributed to several impactful projects, including the Bell Project and Bee Project. One of my notable works, “Speak Up”, was featured at the main gallery at the University of Texas at Arlington. I hold a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Practice from the School of Arts, Technology, and Emerging Communication at the University of Texas at Arlington, further advancing my skills and expertise in the evolving field of visual communication design.
